Hi @ghost35 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 6055e printer is not printing despite being connected to Wi-Fi and showing that it is printing, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the issue:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check the Wi-Fi indicator on the printer to confirm the connection.

Printer Queue:

  • Open the print queue on your Mac to check if there are any pending print jobs.
    • Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
    • Select your HP Envy printer.
    • Check the print queue for any stuck print jobs. If there are any, try canceling them and then try printing again.

Printer Status:

  • Check the printer display for any error messages or alerts. Resolve any issues indicated on the printer's screen.

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off your HP Envy printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can often resolve temporary communication issues.

Printer Driver:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your Mac. Visit the official HP website to download and install the latest driver for your specific printer model.

Printer Software:

  • Make sure that the HP printer software on your Mac is up-to-date. Check for updates in the "App Store" or download the latest software from the HP website.

Reset Printing System:

  • If the issue persists, you may want to reset the printing system on your Mac:
    • Open "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
    • Right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list on the left and choose "Reset printing system."
    • Note that this will remove all printers from the list. You'll need to re-add your HP Envy printer afterward.

Reinstall Printer:

  • After resetting the printing system, re-add your HP Envy printer:
    • Click the "+" button in the "Printers & Scanners" preferences.
    • Select your printer and click "Add."

Check Paper and Ink:

  • Ensure that there is enough paper in the printer tray and that the ink or toner cartridges have sufficient ink levels.

Firewall/Antivirus:

  • Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the communication between your Mac and the printer. Temporarily disable them to see if it makes a difference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
