How can I get my HP deskjet to regonise that I have installed a new HP cartridge.
Had to replace 2- magenta fine; photo black (2 new cartridges tried) message- no ink.
Have cleaned contacts on cartridge & printer. still no joy. What can I do next?

Ok so if you've already cleaned the cartridge & printer carriage contacts then it's worth checking are they snapping into place properly. Also check the cartridge latch. More info in the link below, please let me know how you get on...

I ran out of blue ink in my HP 75XL so I purchased 2 new ones (tri-color) and neither one will my C5280 all-in-one accept. One time it will say "tri-color cartridge in wrong slot (which it isn't) should be in left and that's where it is, next time it just says, over and over again "Refer to printer documentation" and the light blinks and can't print, nor get the page alignment step. I tried putting the old one back and it works ok and these 2 are identical to them! I am so frustrated! Don't know what to do!
