Hi @Gracioussteve28,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the power source.

Wait for 30 Seconds: Leave the printer unplugged for at least 30 seconds.

Access the Cartridge Area:

  • Open the printer's front door.
  • Remove the toner cartridge carefully to ensure there are no obstructions or pieces of torn paper.

Open the toner cartridge door

Inspect for Debris: Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect the cartridge area for any small pieces of paper or debris that might be causing the false paper jam signal.

Reinsert the Toner Cartridge:

  • Carefully place the toner cartridge back into its slot without touching the drum or any sensitive parts.
  • Close the toner cartridge door properly.

Reinstall the toner cartridge

Plug the Printer Back In: Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

Turn On the Printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer and check if the error message is resolved.

I hope this helps.
