Hi @gundude,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The message you're seeing, "get/devmgme/productstatusdyn.xml http/1.1 host:localhost," and "get/cdm/system/v1/status http/1.1host;localhost," are not typical print job messages. Instead, these appear to be HTTP requests being printed as text. This suggests that your printer is receiving and printing web requests, which is unusual and unrelated to regular printing tasks.
Here are some steps you can take to address this issue.
- Check for Malware: It's possible that your computer is infected with malware that is sending these requests to your printer. Run a thorough malware scan on your computer using reliable antivirus software.
- Reset Your Printer: Power off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear any temporary issues in the printer's memory.
- Review Your Printer's Network Settings: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network and configured with the correct settings. Check if the printer is connected via USB or network, and make sure it is set up correctly in your computer's settings.
- Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP website to check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Officejet 4500 printer. Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to unusual behavior.
- Check Your Print Queue: Review your computer's print queue to ensure there are no unusual print jobs or pending print requests.
- Check Your Computer's Network Settings: Verify that your computer is not inadvertently sending these requests to your printer. Ensure that your computer's network settings are correctly configured.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer drivers from your computer and then reinstall them. Ensure you are using the correct drivers for Windows 7.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
