Hi @mosupreme,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're encountering the "photo tray is blocked" error on your HP Envy Photo 7855 printer despite following the instructions, here are some additional steps you can try.
Clear any obstructions:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the access door to the photo tray.
- Carefully remove any paper or debris that may be blocking the photo tray.
Reset the printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds to allow the printer to reset.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for software issues:
- Make sure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware if available.
- Ensure that your printer driver is also up-to-date. You can download the latest driver from the HP website.
Manually adjust the photo tray:
- Open the photo tray and make sure the photo paper is properly aligned.
- Adjust the paper guides to match the width of the photo paper.
Inspect for physical damage:
- Check the photo tray for any signs of physical damage.
- If there are any broken or misaligned parts, you may need to contact HP support or a technician for further assistance.
Perform a hard reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect all cables and USB connections.
- Wait for 5 minutes.
- Reconnect all cables and turn the printer back on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
