HP Envoy 6055e printer has had many issues since new. Now printers gibberish vs. pdf pages, website pages, etc. Once it does this, it prints until it runs out of paper. Started about 2 weeks ago. No known update to Windows or printer

Hi @DaveM2085
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
it sounds like your HP ENVY 6055e is experiencing some frustrating issues with printing gibberish instead of the correct documents. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this problem:
Troubleshooting Steps
Check Connection:
- Ensure your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. A poor connection can lead to printing issues.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Go to the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing issues.
Check Printer Settings:
- Make sure the printer is set to the correct paper size and type in the print settings. Sometimes mismatched settings can lead to printing errors.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your computer and clear any pending print jobs. Sometimes a corrupted job can cause issues.
Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, which can help diagnose and fix common printing problems.
Reset the Printer:
- Perform a factory reset on your printer. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
Test with Different Files:
- Try printing from different applications or file types to see if the issue persists across all types or is specific to certain documents.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Look for any available firmware updates for your printer through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.
Try a Different Device:
- If possible, try printing from a different computer or mobile device to determine if the issue is with the printer or the original device.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
