Hello @Sandra45617, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Officejet Pro 8625 printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

  1. Check the cartridges
    • Open the cartridge access area.
    • Remove the cartridges.
    • Make sure they are compatible HP cartridges.
    • Reinstall each cartridge firmly into its color-coded slot until it snaps into place.
  2. Clean the printheads
    • If your printer menu allows it, load plain white paper.
    • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead.
    • Wait for the cleaning process to finish.
  3. Check for printhead/contact issues
    • HP guidance for similar Officejet Pro models says to clean printhead electrical contacts carefully with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth.
    • Do not touch the nozzles.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
