I haveHP envy photo 7858 . it always gives error message  remove and re install indicates cartridge even though i installed it correctly. It prints only blank pages.  i use windows 10 and delll inspiron 15r computer. thanks for ur time.   Swami

I see that the printer is in error state, this could be an issue with the printer ink system or the ink cartridges. Let us try to isolate and resolve the issue-

 

What happens when you make photocopies on the printer?

Did you make any changes to the printer or the computer recently?

 

Have you tried using the printer in single-cartridge mode? Like removing the black ink, trying to print and vice-versa.

 

I'd recommend you follow the steps from the document HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge to resolve the issue.

 

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

What happens when you make photocopies on the printer?

it says remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge make sure it correctly installed. i cannot pohoto copy.

 

 

I am not able to download firmware
