Hi,

What is the name of the printer?

Is it making the noise when you power on the device as well or only when printing?

HP Recommended

it is an HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M479fdw

It makes the noise when powering on and when printing.

Thank you.

HP Recommended

ok, if you remove all the toner cartridges, and power it on, does it make the same noise then?

HP Recommended

NO it doesn't make the squealing noise when I remove the print cartridges.

HP Recommended

ok, it can make a noise if there is a faulty/empty toner cartridge, specially if you have a soon to be empty cartridge,

Is it HP cartridges installed? Are any of them soon to be empty? Beneath 10%?

HP Recommended

They are HP cartridges and the Cyan is below 10%

HP Recommended

ok, I would start with replacing the cyan cartridge,

You can always confirm this by installing back all the cartridges except for cyan, power on the unit to check for noise, if no noise, install cyan and power on unit again and check, does the noise appear again? If yes then you have confirmed it's the toner,

Thank you sooo much!

It is a HP Lazerjet printer.  It only squeeks when printing.
