Hi @Daniel325,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the yellow information light is flashing on your HP DeskJet 2700 printer, it typically indicates that there is an issue that needs attention. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams in the printer. Open the input tray and check for any jammed paper. Also, check the output tray.
  • Check Ink Cartridges: Make sure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. If a cartridge is empty or low on ink, replace it.
  • Inspect for Obstructions: Check for any obstructions in the paper path. Sometimes, small pieces of paper or foreign objects can cause issues.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
  • Update Firmware: Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on the printer to clear any internal errors. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to reset it.
  • Check for Software Issues: Ensure that the printer drivers on your computer are up to date. If not, download and install the latest drivers from the official HP website.
  • Inspect USB or Wireless Connection: If your printer is connected via USB, ensure that the cable is securely connected. If it's a wireless connection, check the wireless settings and reconnect if necessary.
  • Run HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a diagnostic tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor. Download and run this tool to automatically diagnose and resolve printing issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
