Hi @Diane55_,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with multiple issues with your HP printers. Let's address each issue one by one.
Printer Stuck in Setup Loop
For the HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-In-One Printer that is not recognizing setup cartridges and is stuck in a loop.
Verify Setup Cartridges:
- Ensure that you are using the original setup cartridges that came with the printer.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the setup cartridges and clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and in the printer using a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water.
- Reinsert the cartridges and plug in the printer.
Reset the Printer:
- Unplug the printer while it is turned on.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure the printer firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
Factory Reset:
- Access the printer's settings menu and perform a factory reset. Note that this will revert all settings to factory defaults.
