my printer is printing blank lines.

1. What's causing this?

2. What can be done to fix it?

Thank you.

This is almost always a result of one or more of the following - and possibly other causes:

  • The printer needs maintenance - cleaning (maybe several times), for example, and including the printer rollers when specified in the how-to document
  • Ink needs to be replaced - maybe all colors, maybe just one.  "Full ink" is not always "good ink".  Not popular, but possible.
  • The paper itself is at fault - this is less common, but can be a factor.
