HP DeskJet 2855e All-in-One Printer

Hello all. I need help with printing from my Samsung S24 to my HP printer, a deskjet 2855e printer. I cannot figure out how to print wirelessly from my 3 devices, so I'm using a USB cable with an otg attachment to get around whatever the issue{s} is/are.

Sometimes my print jobs go straight through, and sometimes they get stuck. If they get stuck, sometimes they recover & print, but usually not. Also, I keep getting old unnecessary notifications from previous print jobs that had issues, but have printed, & I've already tried to clear them out. But that is on my pc. I don't know how to do this on Android. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, and an HP laptop, running Windows 11, for your FYI. Well, at least I can print. That's something, right? The printer is new.

Does anyone know how to do this, please? And does anyone know anything about print jobs repeatedly getting stuck? I have checked for updates. I also have the print service plug-ins from both Samsung and HP, plus I also have HP Smart. I don't know what else to do, can't think of anything to do in settings. Thank you so much!

Hi @theresalee,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you have trouble where the old print files keep popping up and you have trouble using the Samsung phone and Windows Pc, don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Have you tried updating the HP smart app to the latest version?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

  • Turn off the printer, and then turn it on again.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the router, wait ten seconds, reconnect the cable, and then wait for the internet connection to complete.
  • Turn off your phone or tablet, and then turn it on again.

And, also make sure the print spooler is clear on your Android smartphone or tablet.

  • In the Settings menu, tap Apps or Applications.
  • Tap the More icon, and then tap Show System Apps.
  • Tap Print Spooler. If Print Spooler is not an option, tap Storage, and then tap Print Spooler.
  • Tap Clear Data or Force Stop.
  • Restart your mobile device.

For Print jobs stuck in the print queue, Windows, try these steps:

1. Reset the Windows printing environment

Stop the print spooler, delete print job files, and then restart the computer and the printer.

1. Turn off the printer, and then unplug the power cord.

2. In Windows, search for and open Services.

3. In the Services window, right-click Print Spooler, and then click Stop.

Stopping the Print Spooler from the Services window

4. After the Print Spooler stops, close the Services window.

5. In Windows, open File Explorer.

6. Browse to C: > Windows > System 32 > spool > PRINTERS.

7. Delete all files in the PRINTERS folder.

8. Shut down your computer.

9. Reconnect the power cord to the printer, and then turn it on.

10. Turn on the computer.

You can use Wi-Fi Direct if connecting through a local network is unsuccessful.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
