DESKJET F4580

Hey guys, i actually own a Deskjet F4580, but, by some reason the Serial No is not working, anyways, im having a error on my printer, when i turn it on and click to print something, the printer stucks and starts to blink every light in it, i saw in the HP site some issue solving that matches with what im experiencing, and it matched with one called "Fatal Error", when all lights in the printer blinks in a same pattern, and i tried all of "how to fix that" page that HP has shown and non of them made diferrence and my printer still blinking all lights in it. Some of you guys have another option or opinion of what should i do? (Pardon me if is some english error, im Brazilian)

Hi @RAFS103,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've tried the usual troubleshooting steps without success. When an HP DeskJet F4580 displays a "Fatal Error" with all the lights blinking, it typically indicates a serious hardware issue.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

Power Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Open the printer and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside.
  • Make sure all cartridges are properly seated and not clogged or damaged.

Firmware Update: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes updating the printer’s firmware can resolve such issues. Check if there's an available firmware update for your model on the HP website.

Error Code Details:

  • If the printer displays an error code alongside the blinking lights, look up that specific code on the HP website. This can provide more targeted solutions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
