My printers attention light will not turn off. I have unplugged for 24 hours. I have tried HP Printer Doctor it wont go past device status. When I check the status in the printers/scanners section of my PC it says status is idle. HELP!

Hi @AMBL1,

I'd like to help!

I understand that the attention light is ON on the printer.

Step 1: Reset the printer

Reset the printer to clear the printer error.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

  2. Unplug the power cord from the power source.

  3. Wait 60 seconds.

  4. Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.

    NOTE:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Try to print. If the issue persists, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Plug the printer directly into an electrical outlet

Plug the printer directly into an electrical outlet to make sure the power source functions correctly.

  1. Unplug the power cord from any surge protector, extension cable, or power strip.

  2. Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.

  3. Turn on the printer.

If the issue persists, I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
