I am trying to replace my 5 years old printer by submitting the claim code or printer code but the only thing I am getting is "server error, try again soon" and I have an OfficeJet 5212

Hi @marcelaz94,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with replacing your printer. However, it seems like the problem is related to the server, and there might not be much you can do from your end. Here are a few suggestions you can try.

  • Wait and Try Again: Server errors can sometimes be temporary. Wait for a little while and then try again later. The issue might be resolved by then.
  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable. Sometimes, server errors can occur due to connectivity issues. Try restarting your router or connecting to a different network if possible.
  • Clear Browser Cache: If you're accessing the replacement process through a web browser, clearing your browser's cache and cookies might help. This can resolve issues related to stored data that could be causing conflicts.
  • Update Browser: Ensure that your browser is up to date. Sometimes, using an outdated browser can lead to compatibility issues with certain websites.
  • Use a Different Device or Browser: If possible, try accessing the replacement process from a different device or using a different web browser to see if the issue persists.
  • Check for Firmware/Software Updates: Make sure that your printer's firmware and any related software are up to date. Outdated firmware or software can sometimes cause connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
