HI @yogita25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Smart Tank 530 printer is connected and printing, but the scan option in HP Smart is not working. Here’s how to fix it:

Step 1: Check Connection Type

  • Scanning over USB or Wi-Fi requires the full HP driver package, not just basic print drivers.
  • If you only installed the basic print driver, scanning will fail.

Step 2: Install Full Feature Software

  1. Go to HP Smart Tank 530 Wireless All-in-One series | HP® Support.
  2. Download the HP Smart app and Full Feature Software and Drivers for Windows 10 (64-bit).
  3. Install and restart your PC.

Step 3: Enable Scan in HP Smart

  • Open HP Smart → Click Printer Settings → Ensure Scan to Computer is enabled.
  • If it shows “Disabled,” click Enable.

Step 4: Use Alternative Scan Tool

  • Try Windows Fax and Scan
    • Press Win + S, type Windows Fax and Scan, and open it.
    • Select New Scan → Choose your HP printer.

Step 5: Power Cycle

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, and reconnect.
  • Restart PC and router (if using Wi-Fi).

Step 6: Update Firmware

  • In HP Smart → Printer SettingsAdvanced Settings → Check for firmware updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
