I am getting an error message that printer cannot print documents even though the printer is ready and available

When your HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-In-One Printer indicates that it cannot print documents even though the printer status is ready and available, it could be due to several reasons. Here's a checklist of troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

 

Check Connection: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If you're using a USB connection, try using a different cable or port. For wireless connections, make sure the printer is connected to the right network.

 

Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer and computer can resolve the issue. Turn off both devices, wait a minute, and then turn them back on.

 

Check Printer Status: Make sure there are no error messages on the printer's display, such as low ink or paper jams. Resolve any issues indicated.

 

Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause printing problems. Visit the HP website, find the latest drivers for your HP ENVY Pro 6455, and install them.

 

Clear Print Queue: A stuck print job in the queue can prevent further documents from printing. Clear the print queue by opening the printer window on your computer, selecting the stuck jobs, and deleting them.
