Hi @Masishere,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're experiencing a challenging issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8615 printer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

  1. Remove Cartridges:

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Open the printer cover and remove the ink cartridges.
    • Check for any visible damage on the cartridges or inside the cartridge slot.
    • Reinstall the cartridges properly, making sure they click into place.
  2. Hard Reset:

    • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
    • Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.
  3. Firmware Update:

    • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to install it.
  4. Check for Physical Damage:

    • Inspect the printer for any physical damage, especially in the cartridge area.
  5. Factory Reset (if necessary):

    • This should be used as a last resort, as it will erase all custom settings. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
