supply system problem

Hi @Jaime1937,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that the "Supply System Problem" error on HP printers usually means the device cannot recognise or communicate with the cartridge chips. Since new cartridges didn't fix it, try these targeted fixes in order:

1. Clean the Electrical Contacts:

Dust or dried ink on the gold metal contacts can block communication between the cartridge and the printhead.

  • Remove the affected cartridges.

  • Gently wipe the gold chips on the cartridges and the gold contacts inside the printer with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water or rubbing alcohol.

  • Allow them to dry, then firmly reinsert them until they click into place.

2. Perform a Deep Power Drain:

A full power cycle will clear out any lingering error states in the printer's memory.

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord directly from the back of the printer.
    • Unplug the other end from the wall outlet.

  • Wait for at least 2 to 10 minutes to allow the CMOS to drain.

  • Plug the cord straight back into the wall outlet and turn the printer on.

3. Update Printer Firmware:

Outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues with new, genuine cartridges.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀
