The light on the control panel of my HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e does not go off after a printing job.  It used to do this after 5 minutes.   I went to Power Management and checked the settings.   It still has power savings mode as going off after 5 minutes.  So, don't know why it is not doing that now.   The light stays lit all of the time.

Hi @epalad,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the power-saving settings on your HP Officejet Pro 9018e are configured correctly, but the control panel light is not turning off as expected, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can take.

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary glitches that might be affecting the power-saving feature.
  • Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. HP often releases firmware updates to address bugs and improve the performance of their devices. You can check for updates on the HP website and follow the instructions provided to update your printer's firmware.
  • Factory Reset: If the issue persists, you may try performing a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that a factory reset will erase any custom settings you've configured on the printer. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Remember to check your printer's user manual for model-specific instructions and troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
