Hi @fabice ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting error code 0x80070483 on an HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer, which can indicate various issues, ranging from connectivity problems to software glitches.

Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on again. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve temporary issues.
  • Check Connectivity: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network signal is strong.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause communication errors. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest drivers for your operating system. Install the drivers and see if the issue persists.  Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet MFP M140w Printer
  • Clear Print Queue: Sometimes, pending print jobs can cause errors. Open the print queue on your computer, cancel all pending print jobs, and then try printing again.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your operating system is up to date by installing any pending Windows updates. Sometimes, system updates include fixes for printer-related issues.
  • Run Printer Troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in Printer Troubleshooter that can automatically detect and fix common printer problems. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, select Printer, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Reset Printer Settings: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
