Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand, the touchscreen of your printer control panel functions intermittent,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

  • Does this happen while typing the Wi-Fi password?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now try typing the password,

Keep me posted for further assistance,

Sorry its taken me so long to respond.

Does this happen while typing the Wi-Fi password?  Yes

  • When was the last time it worked fine?  Not sure, Have not had to put in a password for years.

Tryed all of the power suggestions with negative results. Still functions the same. The search for my router works fine, Pulls it up. I select it and the system asked for my pass word. I try to put in the first caracter a "P" after several attempts the P may come up. Somtimes 5 or 6 P's come up. They deleat pretty well although somtimes with the slightes touch all 5 or 6 P's will erace.

When I go to put in the second letter a "Q" the touchpad will not accept it. I tryed other letters at randum. Some will go in and others will not. Nothing consistant. I cant say one letter is good and one letter is bad. Almost seams like system is working or buffering in the back ground.

Need help.

Thanks for your assistance. Looks like i have a hardware problem so I purchaced a used ENVY 110,  The touchpad workes good however the scan bar gets stuck when copying.I need to find a disassembly manual that will allow me to swap out the scanner panel or the touch pad between the them to end up with one good unit. Can you get me access to a disassembly document please?

Thanks for the response.

If these printer's encounter a hardware failure, usually they are replaced, If they are under warranty. There is no user manual the replace the parts.

That just doesnt make sence to me. If a $500 printer fails for a hardware problem your expected to throw it away???  Printers are repaired every day. There must be a ilustrated parts breakdown for an ENVY 110.  Please assist.
