macOS 10.13 High Sierra

The touchscreen on my HP 7525 photosmart printer does not respond.  I get 6 flashhes when i turn on the printer. Is it worth getting repaired?  is there some way to resolve the problem without having to take it to a repair facility?

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

Power resetting the printer and updating the printer firmware may resolve the issue. Let's try these steps:

1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector

2) Remove all of your ink cartridges from the printer and close the door

3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer

5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the ink cartridges.

6) Download and update the printer firmware from here.

No help HP wants $200 to replace touchscreen. Bought a new printer for $49.

Out of the blue the touchscreen started working, then it began flashing, couldn’t turn printer off so unplugged the replugged and the printer touchscreen no longer works.

I'm afraid, its a possible hardware failure. Unfortunately the only option is to repair/replace the printer. You may call HP Support if you would like to repair/replace the printer.

Just turned the printer on and everything is working. I’m gonna try to leave it on and see what happens. So far, so good!
