Product: HP Officejet J4580 & Macbook Pro OS 11.1

Trying to print and get message "printer error". I have an HP Officejet J4580 and Mac Book Pro. Mac  OS Big Sur version 11.1

I've unplugged both systems and rebooted and printed an HP  test page just fine. But,  still getting same error message.

I'd like to help!

 

HP Officejet J4580 All-in-One Printer driver for macOS 11 is not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

 

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.
