I just bought a new computer (acer) and have installed the photosmart c4580, which prints fine with a USB cable, but am unable to find instructions on how to use the printer wirelessly on this laptop...can you please assist.  mark

Hi,

 

Please run the following program on your Windows 8 machine:

 

   ftp://15.217.49.143/pub/softlib/software12/COL44840/mp-115766-2/hppiw.exe

 

It will ask few question and install drivers for you. You need to connect to Internet to be able to run.

My printer is showing as offline with items in que to print. I unplugged printer, plugged back in. reinstalled drivers. it is not detecting the printer. wireless test says it cannot find your access point and check ssid matches ?! Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

Another note, if I plug in item to  usb it will recognize printer and work. Unplug it , it doesn't work again--says offline...I unplugged router and printer again and tried again...Nothing..
