Hi @Sugr58,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The "validating - please wait" message on an HP Officejet Pro 9125e can be quite frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue.

  • Power Cycle the Printer: Since you've already tried rebooting, try a more thorough power cycle. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
  • Check Network Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your network. You can try reconnecting it to Wi-Fi by accessing the printer's settings through the control panel.
  • Printer Firmware Update: Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. You can do this from the settings menu or by visiting the HP support website to check for any firmware updates.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: As you mentioned, uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers can help. Make sure you download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
  • Hard Reset of Printer: If none of the above steps work, you can try a hard reset. To do this, restore the printer settings to default and set it up again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
