I HAVE A PHOTOSMART 5520 BUT IT WILL NOT PRINT A6 CARDS FOR OUR WEDDING INVITATIONS. ITS CHOPPING THE TOP OF THE PRINT BUT THERE IS NO OPTION ON PRINTER OR IN PROPERTIES FOR PRINTING ON CARD STOCK. I ALSO HAVE TO PRINT OUT A4 CARD DESIGNS TOO.
CAN YOU RECOMMEND A PRINTER THAT WOULD BE ABLE TO PRINT A6 AND A4 CARDSTOCKS.
THANKS

Hello, @blacklabbies – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
I understand that you are facing issues while printing on cardstock paper. First off, the printer does support printing in cardstock paper. Also, the A4 & A6 paper type is also supported. Check the printing specifications here: Printer Specifications for HP Photosmart, Deskjet 5520 Printers
Now, the issue could be where the correct paper size is not specified in your print settings. To fix this issue, you need to make sure that your printing preferences under the actual printer and the program you are using are set to "cardstock". Follow the steps below:
- Go to Control panel – Devices and printers.
- Right-click on Photosmart 5520 and select “Printing preferences”.
- Under the Paper/Quality tab, select the correct paper type and the paper size.
- Now, come to the program that you are using to print the cardstock (MS Word, Wordpad e.tc.), and change the paper type to “Cardstock”.
If the issue persists, then re-install the drivers and try to change the printing preferences.
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Photosmart printer entries and uninstall them.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://hp.care/2qG1qmg to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!
Good luck 🙂
