Trying to find out if HP still builds a printer that uses the 970/971 ink cartridges.  We had to change our printer and I have a bunch of these in storage.

HP 970 ink cartridges work with: HP Officejet Pro X451, X476, X551, X57

Staples has a list of models shown here

 

The date code imprinted (expiration date) on the box will guide you. I have an HP8620, and have found it will accept ink dated back as far as 2 years.
