You can still write to them and hopefully, they can make an exception. Also, here is a link to help you find Printers that still use 564 ink cartridges: https://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/ink-cartridges/hp-564-ink-cartridges#!&tab=vao

When you go to the link, select the particular cartridge, go to "Specs" and then "Compatible Printers"

You may also reach out to our Shopping Team on: https://store.hp.com/us/en

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

You're most welcome. You can buy any Printer of your choice and you can get your unopened cartridges exchanged with the ones which will work with your new Printer.

I have sent you a private message, for more details that cannot be shared in a public post.

Please do check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Thanks!

The cartridges look exactly alike. Can we use the 564 ink cartridges we have from our previous HP printer that stopped working in our new 8028? Please let us know as soon as possible. thank you

I have the same issue with unused 564 cartridges.  Would appreciate receiving information as to how to exchange the cartridges when I purchase a new printer.  Likely to purchase from Costco or Micro Center
