Hello, @SusanLee1– Greetings!

Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I will do my best to assist you with this issue.

Yes, the Envy 4520 is compatible with the WPA2 password. You can get assistance in setting up the printer to the wireless network here: http://hp.care/2c4yzBm

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Cheers 🙂

Please do not lie to your customers, the HP Envy 4520 does NOT support WPA2.

Hello, @RM25483,

Thanks for the update.

I certainly did not lie to any customer. All the information that I provide is to the best of my knowledge.

Most of the new HP printers, including Envy 4520 can be setup using the WPA2 passcode.

Please check the details here: http://hp.care/2hje9W8

Thank you & have a great day!

Hello,

Sorry to revive this, but I just bought this printer because of this answer and it turns out that the support specialist is incorrect.

While I do not believe they were lying, they certainly need to brush up on the knowledge before answering.  There's a tremendous difference between WPA and WPA2

The question was does the HP Envy 4520 support WPA2?  The answer provided by the support specialist is that it does (answer given twice) and a link to their own support article that clearly states that the HP Envy 4520 supports WPA.  NOT WPA2.

I can verify this as I bought one today and it only accepts WEP and WPA networks, and not WPA2 networks.  HP... please read and research before you answer.  Just because some letters match (WPA) doesn't mean it's the same thing (WPA2).

Agreed. To me, an answer from a position of authority that requires a priori knowledge or appropriate research prior to answering is the same as (again, to me, vote with your wallet) corporate lying. I now have a printer that is unable to connect to my wireless network due to lack of modern security that also does not work completely operate properly if the wireless capability is completely disabled. It sits there, broadcasting its name and position, with its wireless connectivity partially setup (to maximize security). At my hourly rate, this may be the most expensive printer that I have owned. Terrible job by HP. Source: M.S.E.E.
