Your HP printer was manufacutured to prefer HP photo paper.  In practice, other brands of high-quality paper will likely be fine, too.

I suggest that you try HP Advanced Photo Paper

Which paper weight is proper for hp 2652 ?

The Specifications for this printer lack reasonable details of this type.

Without guidelines, I would guess (with relative confidence based on many printers that do provide decent Spec documentation) that this budget printer (like almost every other HP printer) supports photo paper up to 250 gsm / 66lb. 

The Datasheet states the printer will support photo paper to 145lb.    This could be true and whether or not it is true depends on the Paper Stock from which the photo paper is made.

Datasheet also indicates the printer supports Brochure paper.  HP Brochure Paper is typically 180 gsm/2 and Presentation Paper is 120 gsm/2.  At least the Brochure paper comes in a "glossy" format, suitable for photo printing.

A simple explanation (FYI, no emails, I realize this is an over simplification):

Paper Stock is manufactured to ISO standards - different kinds of paper are made to different weight and density standards.  Examples of different types of paper stock include (and may not be limited to): Bond, Cover, Index, Text

HP Premium Plus Photo Paper - Paper Specifications

Scroll to the bottom of the document to see the gsm/2 and the Basis weight, that is, paper weight based on Index stock or bond stock.

Personal Observation (Personal Opinion Only)

Based on the information, the printer will accept the Premium Plus Paper.  Were I you, unless it is absolutely necessary, I would not spend the extra money on assumptions.  Budget printer is only going to do "so well" regardless of the paper you load into the tray.  Premium Plus paper is thicker, true, and may - or may not - produce the stunning results you expect.

It's a big subject, made more complicated by the lack of some simple information in the Specifications document.  I have not spent a lot of time on the subject; a closer review of the data on the Internet will likely provide you with more detail.
