Desktjet Ink Advantage 2645
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello,

I'm having white horizontal stripes appear throughout back ink prinouts, much like the problem described here -

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Software-and-Drivers/Missing-Lines-In-Printing-and-Photocopy/m...

The Ink levels show my black cartridge is at about 80%, so it seems like a waste to purchase a new replacement one at this point, yet I cannot get to fix the problem no matter what I do. I tried the suggestions in the above web page, as well as running all possible fixes provided in the printer's Toolbox software ("Clean Ink Cartridges", "Align Ink Cartridges", etc..). Tried removing the cartridge, cleaning it, etc.

The problem occurs only with the black ink, the color ink seems to be printing fine.

What else could I do to remedy this issue?

Hello KrazyToad,

Thank you. the link you supplied is broken as it contains an extra space at the end - I removed it and entered my details, only to be offered support ONLY via the forum - no chat or phone, which is the same and only option offered me when I wrote the original post.

I also checked all of the offered options on the second link you provided, but nothing worked.

I should mention that the same problem occured with my previous black cartridge as well. I had to replace it with the current one, which worked fine at first but now has the same issue showing.

This only adds to my overall frustration with receiving support from HP over issues with this printer. If there is a preferred way of contact, please provide it to me. Otherwise, I'd appreciate the needed assistance here on the forums.

Thank you.
