Hi @alle4x00,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with the orange light on your HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series, it typically indicates an issue with the printer, such as a paper jam, low ink levels, or a problem with the cartridges. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check for paper jams: Open the printer's access door and check for any jammed paper. If you find any, gently remove it.
- Check ink levels: Make sure your ink cartridges are not low or empty. You can check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer.
- Restart the printer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Reset the printer: Press and hold the Power button on the printer for about 10 seconds to reset it. After resetting, check if the orange light persists.
- Check for software updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware and driver are up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest software for your printer model. Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer series
- Inspect the cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and check them for any visible issues, such as damage or leaks. If necessary, replace the cartridges with new ones.
- Clean the printer: Dust and debris inside the printer can sometimes cause issues. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the interior of the printer.
