I bought my HP Envy photo 7855 printer in Dec 2018. I set it up then. Today I bought $5 instant ink prepaid card. set it up and the directions asked for a claim code which I never did find.  Is that because the printer was already set up (claimed in Dec2018)

Also, my colored ink is out so I could not print out anything. How do I know it let HP know that I needed ink?

Hi,

A claim code is only valid for 24 hours.

Swipe down your finger from top to bottom of the screen and tap the HP ePrint icon.

Tap the gear icon and select Remove Web Services and confirm.

Open the same menu again and re-enable web services, follow the steps on screen and confirm any prompt.

As you have no color ink the printer report will not list the address, tap the HP ePrint icon again and use the part prior @hpeprint.com as the claim code.

Ensure your printer is connected to the internet through your home network, so HP will need you need ink, be aware that the ink ships within up to 10 days with standard shipping, so you may not be able to print till the ink arrives.
