I just installed a new printer OfficeJet 5258. I've got it connected to my wi-fi but I can't get it to print wireless. It has to be plugged in to the computer. Am I missing a step somewhere?  I used the HP website to connect the printer and it said it was successful but it won't print unless it's plugged in to the computer. Please help! Thanx

Dean,  That link doesn't help. My printer is not dropping off. The wireless light is steady on. I'm not really computer smart so checked out that link and it made absolutely no sense to me. I didn't understand any of what they were saying or how to do it. I ran the test page in wireless mode and it printed but it won't print from my computer unless it's plugged in. One of the links I went to said my printer wasn't on line, but the print and scan doctor says it is. My computer recognizes it. I am so confused. Thanx for trying, I appreciate your time. I'm a volunteer tutor so know how valuable your time is.  Farmmom

Did you run the HP print & scan doctor program?
