Samsung CLP-315W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently my Samsung CLP-315W laser printer has started printing with a faint echo of the image about two thirds further down the page (with the echo of the bottom of the image rolling over onto the top of the page).

I have run all the basic checks and looked inside to make sure that everything appears clean.

Any ideas?

According to the measurements this sounds like the drum unit is not getting cleaned or discharged properly.Maybe check the status of the drum, but i think replacing the unit will solve your problem.Hope this helps.

Let me try and help. This image repeating can come from the drum unit or from the fuser unit,Depending on the distance between the image that is repeated you can determine the drum or the fuser unit.Hope this will help.

Hello and thank you for your reply.

On an A4 sheet of paper, the echo image is about 19cms further down the page - so a shift of about two thirds of the length of the paper, putting the echo of the bottom of the image back at the top.  Does this info help diagnose the problem, please?

Thanks.  Probably it is time to get a new printer.
