Samsung clx-3175
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Samsung CLX-3175 printer had a message "change imaging unit". I ordered a new one and changed it with instructions. Still after changing there is same message "change imaging unit". I have replaced the new unit several times and restarted printer. Nothing helps.

I Also found some tips to reset "Press: Menu, #1934, Menu, "Tech Mode <Tech Mode>" OK, "Data Setup" OK, > x7 to "Clear Counts" OK, "Enter Password [????]", 1934, OK, "Clear Counts [Total Page CNT]", >x3 to "[Imaging Unit]" OK, "Clearing…", back.." But I can´t follow this: if I press Menu, there is only two option to choose: 1. copy menu 2. scan menu - not any place to place #1934...

Could somebody please help me.

Hello clx-3175

I would sugest you to make a Hard reset (unplugg the power cord from the back of your printer while it is ON, press and hold the power/wakeup button during 15 seconds), when you release the button, plug it back in and turn it ON. You can also take the Imaging Unit out, clean the contacts on the surface of this consumable and clean the contacts inside the printer (if possible) with a dry cloth.

To clear the memory:

To enter the Tech mode:
To enter the Tech mode, press Menu > # > 1 > 9 > 3 > 4 > Menu in sequence, and the LCD briefly displays ‘TECH’, the machine has entered service (tech) mode.
Selecting "Data Setup" and select "Clear All Mem", finally select your country.

Note: You need to press the sequence quickly to be able to see the tech menu

I leave you a video with an example:

This worked! Thanks a lot! Only problem was that my printer doesn´t have the numeric buttons so the linked video was not correct, but this was helping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ErCyT0SA9w

Thank you!

Access the hidden Tech Menu on your Samsung C460W laser printer and clear annoying alarms such as 'worn transfer belt' or 'replace imaging unit' or other errors that you don't want to be constantly bugged about. Of course this won't fix the worn out part but often the warnings are premature. If ...
