HP OfficeJet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello out there! I'm trying to install print drivers on my device.  It is a Galaxy Book 2.  It is an interesting device, a tablet/laptop.  It has a snapdragon (mobile) processor, but runs Windows 10 64 bit.  When I download the 64 bit driver package, the installer tells me that it is not compatible with the system, and to download the 32 bit version.  When I download the 32 bit version, it starts the installation process, but then runs into an error that says:

"Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error -536870347 for package 'C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP OfficeJet Pro 8720\DriverStore\YetiV4\hpygid20_v4.inf': The 32-bit version DIFxAPI does not work on Win64 systems. a 64-bit version of DIFXAPI is required.

It looks like I need a 32-bit installer, but 64-bit drivers.  Any help on this would be appreciated.  This is needed because, while I can print with the HP Smart App on this device, without the drivers, it often prints with missing letters.

Hi,

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 uses an ARM64 processor.

The HP Software can be installed on 64-bit (Intel) or 32-bit (AMD) processors, it is not compatible with an ARM64 architecture, for an ARM processor you may only install the HP Smart app, not the Basic or Full HP Software.

Ok, so as I suspected, the drivers aren't compatible with the CPU architecture. I have the HP Smart App already, and I can print and scan with it. However I get missing letters when trying to print. Any solution for that?

Hi,

Please print and evaluate a Printer Status Report:

Can you see any quality problem with any of the printed colors?
