I am trying to update the firmware on my newly purchased Samsung M2020W laser printer. I go thru the HP website to pick up the firmware. The support page recognizes my computer as a Mac with the correct OS. I click download and get M2020W_V3.00.01.20.hd, usblist2.exe, and a pdf with instructions. The instructions say:
How to update the firmware using a USB cable.
1. Make sure that the machine is connected to the PC with a USB cable. 2. Drag the firmware file(*.hd) and Drop down it on usblist2.exe.
And then, firmware update will be started automatically.
3. The firmware update will start.
Once the firmware update is complete, the machine will be rebooted automatically.
usblist2.exe is not an executable file on MacOS. These seem to be instructions for Windows. Step 1 says to make sure the machine is connected to the PC.

Go to samsungprinter/ URL and login to the "syncthru web service". The default credentials are username:admin and password:sec00000.
In the maintenance section there is an upgrade wizard, just load the *.hd file there.
It will upgrade.
Cheers

He means IP address. Mine is like:
http://10.0.1.15/sws/index.html
You can only find the "Update Firmware" when you are logged in. So login first.
I tried 16.10.2019 "M2020_V3.00.01.24.hd" but he gives me an error.
Same for "M2020W_V3.00.01.23.hd": Datas invalid.
