Samsung Xpress SL-M2835DW Laser Printer
iOS

Airprint stopped working. Tried everything. Found out today that Airprint stopped working for IOS 17 and higher on this printer, while still working on similar printers. On this printer, only IOS 16 and lower works. The printer was made in 2018. I think support and firmware should last longer than that for a premium brand printer! Very disappointed at Samsung/HP!

What I typically see is  years after they have been discontinued EOL policies kick in which means development pretty much stops at that point save for possible critical security updates. The challenge here is that HP likely had little interest in continuing support on a Samsung product that was nearly  5 years old when they took over Samsung's printer business. From initial release your printer is nearly ten years old and while relatively new to you, is in fact a fairly old product.

I realize that I will have to keep better watch of the actual age of products in the future. Maybe also steer away from HP products, until now considered trustworthy.
