Hello everyone, willing to help or having the same issue.

The problem is next:

Office device HP LaserJet Pro MFP M428dw. It has a function to scan two-sided documents. When selected to scan "2-sided", after scanning one page of document (or front side of several pages of document) device should ask to turn the pages around and put them to be scanned from the other side. After that it sorts the pages correctly (scanned 1-3-5, second scan 2-4-6, sorted 1-2-3-4-5-6).

After I select "2-sided" and click to scan the page, after scan of page is finished the device doesn't give a request to turn the page to scan the second one. Either it is a document consisting of one page, or several pages. It just scans from one side and that is all.

I am using HP Scan software. The latest full version of driver pack is installed. The software was reinstalled several times. Nothing helps. The error occurs on several computers. Other scan "2-sided" documents correctly.

The other topic has a solution in it. And this solution did work for some time, but doesn't work anymore:

The suggested solution was to run a code in CMD launched with Administrators permission:

As I said before, solution did work but does not anymore.
I did run sfc /scannow and dism commands on machine that has problem, same result.
It's not about the device firmware, as the function still works on some of the devices, and doesn't work on the others.

I think it's about some great software development decisions from HP, and their interaction with the same great software development decisions from Microsoft.
But as I mentioned, there are similar topics. They don't have a solution.

And the function declared in device description and that was working before is not working anymore.
Can anyone help?
