Hi @Cfhigh69,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're having trouble sending faxes with your HP 4652 printer, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Phone Line Connection: Ensure that the phone line is securely connected to both the printer and the wall jack. Make sure there are no cuts or damages to the phone cable.
- Verify Phone Line Settings: Check the phone line settings on your printer to ensure they are configured correctly for your new phone number. Make sure the country/region code and dialing prefix are accurate.
- Test Fax with Another Device: Try sending a fax to another fax machine or a fax test service to determine if the issue is with your printer or the receiving end.
- Check Fax Settings: Review the fax settings on your printer to ensure they are configured correctly. Pay attention to settings such as resolution, contrast, and dialing options.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues or bugs affecting fax functionality.
- Check Wireless Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your wireless network. Check the wireless settings on the printer to confirm it is connected to the correct network.
- Restart Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting the printer can resolve temporary issues. Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
- Reset Printer: If the issue persists, you may try resetting the printer to its factory defaults. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with sending faxes from your HP 4652 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
