Hello,

my problem is the "52 Error Laserscanner"

I already did every method for troubleshooting, so i guess it has nothing to do with a software problem.

The error comes up as soon as the printer is turned on.

The Print & Scan Doctor couldn´t find an issue and all drivers are updated.

This error is a hardware failure of the scanning unit that creates prints, not the scanning used for copying. You would need to replace the laser scanner assembly to resolve the error if the suggestions from @A_Gayathri do not resolve the error.

I understand you are getting the "52 Error Laserscanner" on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw indicates a hardware issue related to the laser scanner unit. Since you've already tried all the standard troubleshooting steps and the error persists, it is likely a hardware failure. 

 

Here are a few steps you can take to further address the issue:

 

1. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check for Obstructions

  1. Open the printer and check for any visible obstructions or debris inside the printer, especially around the laser scanner unit.
  2. Gently remove any obstructions you find.

3. Ensure Proper Ventilation

  1. Make sure the printer is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating.

4. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates on the HP Support website.

5. Reset the Printer

  1. Restore the printer to factory defaults. This can sometimes resolve firmware glitches.
    • Go to the printer's control panel.
    • Navigate to Setup > Service > Restore Defaults.

What is the serial number of the spare part and are there any installation instructions, in German if necessary?

HP does not list the scanner in the parts list. On ebay I found this https://www.ebay.com/itm/265390128683

As HP does not list the part, there are no instructions on replacing it. Your best bet would be to check out YouTube for a video on replacing the scanner. I believe that you will need to remove the top cover and the scanner should be on the top of the engine assembly.
