Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm digitizing decades of family photos from prints, slides, and negatives.  For the slides and negatives, I'm getting a dedicated 35mm slide/negative scanner.  But for the photo prints, I was hoping I could avoid buying yet another scanner by using the 4800dpi capability of the 8600e I already own.

My intent was to scan photo prints at 4800dpi and save those as lossless TIFF files.  However, the HP scanning software for my 8600e appears to allow only saving as JPEG or PDF.

Is there different HP scanning software I can install & use with this 8600e to scan photos at 4800dpi and save them in a TIFF format?

I guess another question might be whether there are actually are differences between the scanners "built into" these AIO units and those built into standalone flatbed scanners such that a 4800dpi scanner in an AIO isn't as capable as a 4800dpi standalone flatbed scanner for digitizing photo prints.

Obviously, I'd like to avoid having to buy a separate "flatbed photo scanner" when I already own this 8600e that already includes what appears to be such a high resolution scanner.

Thanks.
