I am trying to set up this printer to scan my receipts to my work email address and it is not working.

 

Ports 25, 465, and 587, as directed by google don't work.

Unchecking the validation box on the HP page doesn't work.

Leaving everything unchecked doesn't work.

Changing the to addre

Having "less secure" turned on at Google doesn't work.

2-factor is not in use.

 

Printer says "follow on screen instructions" but none are given. Trying to add something only leads to a file browser with no hints as to what I need or where to get it.

Please uncheck the box next to Validate Server Certificate, then press Save and Test and check for any difference:

Not sure why the pictures disappeared but that didn't work. I get either "add certificate" which I don't have and don't know where to get; or I get "you must log in" with the box unchecked.

 

Email and password are know to be correct.

 

 

Any other suggestions or certificates that work that you can send to me?

Tried using yahoo. No go. Same errors. Tried using SendInBlue as they claimed free email hosting. Same result. Need to log in and need a certificate.

 

Why is this even a function when it doesn't work with anything?

 

Getting very frustrated at the lack of cooperation.

That suggestion didn't work. It wants to log in or the log in is not "secure" and will not proceed.

 

Is there anything else to do? Or is this an "in name only" type of feature.
