Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

OfficeJet Pro 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have replaced my officejet pro 8600 with a new officejet pro 9015.  It will print and scan to my desktop correctly, but I am unable to get the "scan to network drive" to work properly:  I am using a Ready NAS ultra, and the configuration is identical to one which worked successfully for years with my old printer.  I have tried using the NAS name and using the NAS IP on the setup and keep seeing that the printer is unable to connect to the remote destination.  Yet using the HP scanner software on the PC I was able to save the file to the same directory on the NAS.  I have been trying various fixes for over five hours and nothing seems to work.  I would appreciate any help that can be offered.

Thanks

Bill

Ideas...

Make sure the printer has set the SMB correctly.

Next

The issue is perhaps an unexpected permission issue in the destination folder.

In the case of the account on the NAS, check / verify the destination account / folder is in Group Everyone and that read / write access is open.  In really odd cases, (should not be necessary with healthy, newer NAS file system) it may be useful to change the group away from Everyone and then set it back to the desired "Everyone" group identity.

If the issue surfaces in a Windows folder, the same logic applies:

Edit the folder permissions in Advanced Sharing to include all controls for "Everyone"

EWS_9025_Scan-to-Network-Folder_4EWS_9025_Scan-to-Network-Folder_4

Thanks.  I had to reconfigure both SMB (all three options) and SNMB (read and write) along with using the ip address vice the nas name.  But at least now it is working.  I really appreciate the assist

You are welcome.

There are a lot of "loose bits" to the setup.

We are not really at a point where the configurations are seamless.

"Admin" is still pretty much hands on.  Smiling.

Stay Safe.
