Was able to set up scan to folder successfully on my new Officejet 9015, but after a week it stopped working. Gives me an "incorrect credentials" error, although nothing has changed. Tried adding my mac domain name, taking the space out of my 2 word user name and nothing seems to work. Folder is still shared, password is the same. Scan to email does still work. Has anyone else run into this issue and if so, has it been resolved. Thanks!

@Milt31, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Make sure the Mac is updated to 10.15.3. You may refer to this document for steps to update the Mac - How to update the software on your Mac
This issue could be due to the date and time mismatch between the printer and the computer. On the newer devices, the time zone is predetermined as GMT and you have to set the time on the printer as GMT but matching your time in your time zone.
Also, when you set up a Network path you only need to put the shared folder and not the entire path. macOS sets up shared folders at the root. For example, my scan shared folder is located in /Users/Shared/Scans. But the network path is \\computername.domain\Scans
If the issue persists, kindly click here to view the post by one of the HP Experts on how to setup 'scan to network folder'.
Follow the steps mentioned in the attached document.

Hi Kumar, thanks for the reply. My iMac is updated to Catalina 10.15.5. I checked the date and time, and they match. I tried changing the path to my-computer-name (and creating a new shared folder like yours), and I get a Network error. When I use the full path with the IP address I get the Invalid Credentials error. Also, the scan to folder was working fine, until we had a short blackout during a recent storm. Could that be related?

In that case, we may have to redo the setup. Did you check the post that I attached on how to setup the scan to network folder? That attached document in the post has step by step instructions on setting up the scan to network folder.
Keep me posted.

Hi Kumar, I just restarted the process from the beginning following the steps in the HP guide. I created a new shared file. I copied the SMB computer name into the path as follows \\localcomputername.lan\Scans. Same "invalid credentials" error. I also tried the following:
1. using the IP address instead of the local computer name
2. adding the full path to the folder \Macintosh HD\Users\Shared\Scans.
3. taking the "spaces" out of my user name.
4, Adding "hyphens" instead of the spaces in the user name
5. Adding a new "administrator" account and using the new login name and password
None of the above have worked. I still get the "invalid credentials" error.

Hi Kumar, one other note. My wife has an iMac with the same basic configuration and we're having exactly the same problem with "invalid credentials". This leads me to believe that the problem is with on the printer end.

That's unfortunate. If the issue persists, I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.
Please reach out to the HP Support in your region for further assistance.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Hi Kumar, after rereading the instructions, I realized that a recent power failure had changed the time on the printer and that it was sychronized to local time instead of GMT. After changing it to GMT, everything worked perfectly. Thanks again.
