HP 9015
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I recently purchased and installed an HP 9015 All-In-One. I finally got the WIFI setup to work and print but cannot get the HP software on my iMac to see the scanner. The 9015 prints from my desktop and phone but will not scan to the desktop. When I go to the HP Smart utility to set up scan it tells me the printer is offline. Not sure how to get the iMac and 9015 to see each other for scanning. IOS 10.13 High Sierra.  Any thoughts?

@Ashokan1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to scan. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates on MAC

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

Go to App store > Search for HP Smart and check if there are any updates available.

Do you have an Anti-virus/firewall installed on the MAC?

You may check this in System Information > Applications. If yes, then disable it and try scanning.

If the issue persists, try these different methods of scanning from your MAC, refer to - How to Scan

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
