Hi,
I've just bought the 8640 printer and the ADF scanner is simply not working. If I put a two sided document in the ADF and scan it simply comes up with a blank white page. DOn't worry I'm not silly enough to have the document upside down as I tried it with a 2 sided document.
If I scan from the glass it is fine.
Is supect there is a fault with the ADF scanner to the left of the glass scanner.
Any help appreciated.
Mark

Well what do you know, it's suddenly working after a cold power off/on. COpying and Scanning from ADF are both fine now.
THanks Gemini02.

Just a couple of other points
1. Running latest firmware
2. Not plugged in to a surge protector
3. No error messages, it goes throught he process of scanning, it's just the output is pure white.
I also find that with 2 sheets in the ADF that the printer doesn't process the sheets correctly, the 2nd sheet get stuck.
Anyways, thinking of taking it back as clearly there is a problem.

Can you make a single color scanned document from the ADF?
Are you having the same issue when making a copy?
